Out Of This World Area Rugs

The world of rugs and carpet can be a yawn. Yes, I said it. Carpet is boring, but designers are always coming out with unique corky items to knock our socks off. The world of area rugs should not be disappointed with these unique designs.

In this area rug design by German designer Katrin Sonnleitner, life is always a game! A giant area rug made out of puzzle pieces is great for a game room or child's room. If anyone is bored they can entertain guest for hours with the jig saw puzzle.

Scared to get your feet dirty? Here is a unique way to  feel comfortable walking around your house with no shoes on.... instead wear a pair of comfortable rug flip flops. A fun way to  tell your guest to take off their shoes and put on new ones.

Lets crack the egg and get started on this carpet. "Double Bull’s Eye” by Valentina Audrito was inspired by an egg. This creative area rug design make me hungry just thinking about it!

Being green in the modern world is what people are trying to do. This area rug is a nice recycling idea to keep the world clean. The rug is designed  by danish designer Annemette Beck and made out of old bicycle tires.

Imagine not having to go buy furniture for your lining room. Instead you use a rug to sit on. I know it sounds crazy however, in the "Flying Carpet" by Emiliana Design Studio, you can fly away with not spending extra cash on a sofa. I don't know how comfortable this would be or if I would like the reminder of a golf course green in my house.
